Each clutch set requires 6 pairs of springs and plungers.
That combination isn't standard.
Some table size / series combinations weren't produced, or the machine may be a special build. Call us at +1-847-427-9360 with your serial number and we'll identify the correct parts.
The table clutch engages and disengages the main table drive. It consists of a pack of alternating steel discs and Ferodo (friction) discs, compressed by spring and plunger assemblies.
There are two clutch sizes — No.5 (smaller, used on 36" and standard 48" tables) and No.6 (larger, used on 48" high-speed, 60", and 72" tables). On V/EV/R series machines, all table sizes use the No.6 clutch.
Getting the wrong parts can cause clutch slipping, engagement problems, or damage. The steel disc type changed between series — thin (Early DH), thick/splined (Series II DH), and spur-drive (M/EM and later). They are not interchangeable.
The spring also changed: the old-type spring (8473-09) is used on DH series machines, while the new-type spring (8473-10) is used on M/EM and all later series. These are not interchangeable either.
